Casa de Sueños Magicos (House of Magical Dreams). The historic city of Pátzcuaro was founded in the 1300s, as the capital of the Purepecha Empire. Pátzcuaro (“Doorway to Heaven”) has retained its colonial indigenous character and has been designated a Pueblos Magico by the Mexican government.
